Floyd Mayweather had a preposterous reason for believing he won the second press conference

Makes no sense whatsoever

Conor McGregor was in his bloody element in Toronto on Wednesday night.

The Dubliner, roared on by his Irish fan club, was in flying form as he strutted up and down the stage during a rip-roaring seven minutes.

Despite calls for him to wrap it up after six, the Crumlin man just kept going and going.

There was no stopping him, just like there was no stopping the excitement and cheers of an aroused crowd who were bowled over by his overpowering bravado.

It was clear for the majority of the watching audience that McGregor schooled Mayweather in the verbal battle, as the best the American could muster in response to McGregor’s insults, the highlight of which was “You can’t even read,” was “Eat shit, eat shit.”

Irish

After struggling slightly in the opening press conference in Los Angelas, the 28-year-old was brazen, he was cocky and he was at his confrontational best.

Floyd Mayweather’s assertions that he won the battle of the second press conference are fairly unfounded, but his reason for this makes even lesser sense.

“Do you think you won round one?” asked a reporter.

“I think I won both rounds, to be honest.

“No, I’m winning. (You’re saying) He took it because they (the fans) were screaming loud? That has nothing to do with it,” assured the 40-year-old.

“He had a pretty good speech, though?” stated a reporter.

“Ok, tell me his speech,” asked Mayweather brashly and unreasonably to a reporter who obviously wasn’t going to recite a seven-minute speech.

“Well, it wasn’t a good speech then.”

Mayweather was never going to admit that he was beaten, but basing his triumph on a reporter remembering a seven-minute speech doesn’t even make any sense.

Take your beating, Floyd.
