Tempers flared after the Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora weigh-in on Friday.
Both fighters will square off for a second time in London this Saturday after Whyte edged Chisora in their first fight with a split decision win in December 2016.
The two fighters will be competing for the WBC Silver and WBO International heavyweight titles this weekend with Chisora winning three of his last four fights since the Whyte defeat.
Both Whyte and Chisora were also involved in a nasty altercation before their first fight in Manchester two years ago with the latter throwing a table at a press event, and while matters did not quite escalate that quickly on Friday, both fighters were once again embroiled in another altercation after a heated face off following their weigh-in.
Whyte addressed the melee on his YouTube channel and said that the weigh-in incident was sparked by Chisora talking about some of his family members.
“It was just Dereck being his usual self,” said Whyte.
“Listen I’m fighting and if you talk rubbish to me I’m in front of the media and I have nothing to say but the minute it’s finished you start talking rubbish to members of my family so I kicked off.
“He was telling my brother to suck his mum and stuff like that and start talking rubbish about how after the fight he was going to get us and this, that and the other. I don’t take those things lightly.
“You can say that to me, cool, we’re going to be fighting but you can’t say that to my brother or my sister. I don’t take those things lightly. I take it personally.”
