David Haye told off for bad language live on Sky Sports News after this Tony Bellew insult

"That's not a swear word, is it?"

David Haye and Tony Bellew don’t get on.

We were reminded of this once again on Wednesday morning when the pair met at a press conference ahead of their March 4 fight at the O2.

After trading the usual insults we’ve come to expect from this sort of event, the two fighters came face to face to pose for pictures. This only lasted a few seconds; Haye appeared to throw a punch at Bellew before the Liverpudlian shoved him away and security stepped in to diffuse things.

After things had died down a little, reporter Andy Burton caught up with Haye and asked him to deliver a message to Bellew. Speaking live on Sky Sports News HQ, Haye’s message was a simple one.

“Tony Bellew, you’re a bell-end and you’re going to get knocked out.”

“Apologies for language,” Burton interrupts, telling Haye that he’d told him not to swear.

“That’s not a swear word, is it?” Haye replies, before apologising to the camera.

Burton swiftly brought an end to the interview, handing back to presenter Hayley McQueen in the SSN studio.

At least it amused plenty of those watching on television…
