A Conor McGregor movie was bound to be released sooner rather than later.
What better time to release a Conor McGregor movie than after the most high-profile fight of the Dubliner’s career?
His diamond-encrusted panty night against Floyd Mayweather is likely to attract the most eyeballs and bank the most money of any fight in combat sports history.
Not only will he be hoping to hand arguably the greatest defensive boxer ever his first loss as a professional, but ‘the Notorious’ will also be aiming to usurp sport’s PPV king on August 26.
It’s a crazy time to be alive. It doesn’t feel real. Some might say it’s like something out a movie.

It’s not as if McGregor is underexposed. We’ve had plenty of documentaries, specials and promos about the UFC superstar. However, we’ve never had an official feature-length movie.
Considering how much his stock has risen in such a short space of time, and the trajectory in which his career seems to be following, a Conor McGregor movie has felt like an inevitability for a while.
Who knows? It could actually happen sooner than we might have expected. McGregor’s account tweeted out a fancy-looking, audio free clip that could be the first glimpse of McGregor’s movie debut.
Here is another power move for you to get excited about.

If this is a legitimate ‘power move’ and not just more mind games from the master, we sincerely hope the movie isn’t as cripplingly dull as that opening shot suggests.
