Very classy…

McGregor’s open media workout for his bout with Floyd Mayweather took place on Friday night and in the interviews on the night, there’s a whole host of things to talk about.

Firstly was the released footage of Conor McGregor’s sparring with Paulie Malignaggi, which shows the moment the former world champion ended up on the canvas, with the angles shown seeming to dispute Malignaggi’s claim that he was pushed to the ground.

But on a lighter note, McGregor revealed that he’d made a gesture to a fan recently. A fan you may have seen in the last week who wrote a brilliant song about the Dubliner.

The song is written and performed Mick Konstantin, and you can check it out below.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani from MMAFighting on Friday night, McGregor revealed that he’d heard the song and that he’d been in touch with Mick and what he’s offered him is simply class. He said:

“It was one hell of a song. It’s a very catchy song.

“We actually reached out to the guy. I had my people reach out to him and we’re booking him flight, him plus one. We’re going to bring him over to the fight and get him tickets and put him up in a hotel, and I’m going to meet him maybe after the fight. It’s one hell of a song.

“I’m going to bring him in as a thank you for the support. What a song, it’s the journey in music form. Myself and my team, we enjoyed it very much, so we’re going to fly him out. Him and a friend.”
