The 6ft 9in Fury comprehensively outpointed the Ukrainian in a historic upset in Dusseldorf back in November to claim the WBA, WBO and IBF belts.
A rematch option had been written into Klitschko’s contract and the 39-year-old, who had a 10-year stranglehold on the heavyweight division before the defeat, exercised his right to another crack at Fury.
The Mancunian champion, who was stripped of the IBF belt after just 10 days after not being able to take on mandatory challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov, has been itching for another big money fight with Klitschko.
His trainer and uncle Peter Fury said all options were being considered for the biggest money venue including Ireland, Manchester, London, Germany and even the UAE,
But it looks like the North West city is the chosen location. Manchester United fan Fury has previously said he wanted to fight at Old Trafford but it seems the Manchester Arena is the most likely the venue.
