Amir Khan will face off against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on May 7, it has been confirmed.
The Olympic silver medallist will move up a wait class in an attempt to take Alvarez’s WBC middleweight title belt back to Britain.
The 29-year-old will face the Mexican superstar on the weekend of Cinco de Mayo in Las Vegas.
Khan had previously laid into IBF welterweight champion Kell Brooks’ refusal to face him, but it seems that he finally has his title shot.
