Chris Eubank Jr destroys Tom Doran and warns Gennady Golovkin “I’m coming for you”

Big words

Chris Eubank Jr has successfully defended his world middleweight title against Tom Doran, winning in four rounds.

Eubank Jr’s defeat of Doran was brutal, knocking him down to the ground three times.

On the third time, the referee started the count, and there was no coming back for Doran, who was being toyed with towards the end of the fight.

Eubank Jr took the opportunity after the match to restate his desire to take on Gennady Golovkin.

“For me it is all about making statements,” he declared. “I feel I should be challenging for world titles and, Golovkin, I’m coming for you. People think you’re indestructible but you’re not. Saunders too, I’m coming for you.

“I’m a fighter and I’m a fighters’ fighter. Any fighter worth their salt wants to fight and beat the best. This fight tonight didn’t excite me. Tom Doran is solid but this was just another day at the office. I want the big names.

“I train like an absolute animal and my fans know what I do each and everyday. That’s what gives me the confidence to challenge those guys.”

Kazakhstan Golden Boy Golovkin is one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world, and Eubank Jr would have his work cut out in beating him, but it’s a match fans want to see.
