Carl Frampton received some backlash for something he wore the other day.
The item of clothing in question, an Antrim GAA jersey, which one Twitter user took massive issue with.
Frampton was raised protestant in Tiger’s Bay, a unionist area of Belfast, but judging people based on their political or religious beliefs is not something he pays much heed to.
He’s a sportsman and a symbol of progression. When the troll urged loyalists to stop supporting the Jackal because he wore the jersey from the ‘wrong’ sport, Frampton shot him down with the perfect response – any more talk like that and he’ll be getting a belt of his custom-made hurl.

All you have to do is look at the people who the former two-weight world champion surrounds himself with to realise that he doesn’t buy into the sectarian divide.
He trained in Catholic boxing clubs as a youth, his manager, Barry McGuigan, is a Catholic and of course, his wife, Christine, is Catholic.
Shortly after Frampton shut down that troll on Twitter, his better half shared another Frampton outfit update. This time, the boxer was spotted wearing Northern Ireland tracksuit bottoms and an Antrim GAA jersey, which perfectly illustrates what he stands for.
