Tyson Fury is the new heavyweight champion of the world.
However, a lot of fight fans are hell bent on belittling the British heavyweight’s victory over Wladimir Klitschko because of some controversial comments he made leading up to the fight.
One person who isn’t taking anything away from Fury’s achievement because of stuff that’s happened outside the ring is Carl Frampton. The IBF super bantamweight champion was quick to congratulate Fury on beating an icon of the sport on Twitter.
That was a Hero's performance from @Tyson_Fury! He deserves this. Be fair judges…

UNBELIEVABLE!

The Belfast native contended that Fury ending Klitschko’s 11-year, 22-fight unbeaten run was good for boxing and hinted that his colourful personality draw more eyes to the sport.
Love @Tyson_Fury or hate him, that win is good for boxing. The new heavy weight champ is a character!

The Fury haters were out in force after the fight had ended, but Frampton pleaded with them to give credit where it’s due.
Please give him some credit people. @Tyson_Fury has just beat an all time great and won the greatest prize in sport

Many argued that Fury was nothing more than a temporary champion citing his compatriot Anthony Joshua as next in line to win the belt. However, Frampton disagreed with this sentiment.
The Joshua lovers seem a tad bitter tonight. Give credit where it's due

Anthony Joshua, no doubt, is a great talent. But where is the evidence to say he blows Fury away?
— Carl Frampton MBE (@RealCFrampton) November 28, 2015
At this point, the responses must have been flooding in as Frampton took it upon himself to reply to a few Twitter users.
Who was that against again? Come on man. He just beat a GREAT https://t.co/DP8Vsg8sVE

He put one smart aleck who was trying to get a rise out of him in his place with perhaps the most diplomatic burn ever Tweeted
Who's paying? The fans. Which probably includes you. Thanks very much 😉 https://t.co/YC2c0FS2lN

While he also kindly informed one fan of the result, after she seemingly spent the evening under a rock.
Obviously haven't heard the news Julie https://t.co/DFpXfgcskQ
