Frampton comes alive on Twitter

Tyson Fury is the new heavyweight champion of the world.

However, a lot of fight fans are hell bent on belittling the British heavyweight’s victory over Wladimir Klitschko because of some controversial comments he made leading up to the fight.

One person who isn’t taking anything away from Fury’s achievement because of stuff that’s happened outside the ring is Carl Frampton. The IBF super bantamweight champion was quick to congratulate Fury on beating an icon of the sport on Twitter.

The Belfast native contended that Fury ending Klitschko’s 11-year, 22-fight unbeaten run was good for boxing and hinted that his colourful personality draw more eyes to the sport.

The Fury haters were out in force after the fight had ended, but Frampton pleaded with them to give credit where it’s due.

Many argued that Fury was nothing more than a temporary champion citing his compatriot Anthony Joshua as next in line to win the belt. However, Frampton disagreed with this sentiment.

At this point, the responses must have been flooding in as Frampton took it upon himself to reply to a few Twitter users.

He put one smart aleck who was trying to get a rise out of him in his place with perhaps the most diplomatic burn ever Tweeted

While he also kindly informed one fan of the result, after she seemingly spent the evening under a rock.
