Boxing world comes together for Nick Blackwell after fighter is put in an induced coma

Concern

Some things are bigger than boxing, and the health of Nick Blackwell is one of them.

The British boxer gave his all in what proved to be an unsuccessful British middleweight title defence against Chris Eubank Jr, and it has emerged that the 25-year-old is in a bad way after spending the night in hospital.

Blackwell was reportedly placed in an induced coma after suffering bleeding on the skull, having collapsed after the referee stopped the fight in the 10th round.

Plenty from within the boxing world and beyond have expressed their hope that the popular fighter makes a full and speedy recovery, with world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury leading the way.
