Amir Khan says Mayweather camp are keen to ‘get a fight on’ and he’s ready for September

Amir Khan wants a cut of this gravy train.

The British boxer is back calling out Floyd Mayweather and he reckons the Money camp is interested, too.

What’s more is that Khan is free in September.

The 28-year-old, a Muslim, is set to fast during the holy month of Ramadan but that takes place from mid-June to mid-July this year and his diary is empty in September – when Floyd said he’d fight for the last time.

“Mayweather normally fights mid-September and Ramadan is a little bit earlier this year,” Khan was quoted on the BBC.

“It gives me enough time to get the training done, so it can happen.”

The Englishman claimed that Mayweather’s manager was keen to ‘get a fight on’ the Sunday after the welterweight beat Pacquiao in the fight of the century but Khan has another fight on May 29 to get over first.

“I’m not going to be fighting Mayweather until I win this fight. I’m not looking past Chris [Algeri] because I’ve made that mistake in the past.

“There are bigger fights out there for me,” he said, looking past Algeri.

Mayweather will be fighting in September and he has also opened a door for a rematch with Pacquiao next year. Get your 25 euros out, folks.
