The job
SportsJOE.ie needs a deputy editor to work alongside the editor and help steer, guide and advise our brilliant team of writers.
Does this sound like you?
You have several years experience writing or editing sports content for a leading website or publication.
You are someone who can be funny about sport and sporting personalities.
You are relentlessly searching for new and innovate ways to cover sport and the events around it.
You are someone who has an innate ability to generate the kind of content that people will like, share and talk about in the pub.
You are someone who uses social media to a borderline unhealthy level but isn’t sorry and has no intention of stopping.
Obviously you need to be hugely passionate about all sports, with a particular emphasis on GAA, Football, Rugby, MMA and US Sports.
You have a proven track record in identifying and driving a daily news agenda.
You are funny. Very funny.
