It’s the dawn of the giants

Francis Ngannou will be making his eagerly anticipated return to MMA as he headlines a stacked card at the PFL Super Fights in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Whether you’re a seasoned MMA fan, have followed Francis’s boxing career or you just have a love for sport, you’re going to want to see this heavyweight main event, seeing Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou coming out after two and a half years away.

Following his forway into the world of boxing, former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou will battle it out with 6’8” Brazilian Renan ‘The Problema’ Ferreira for the title in a box-office bout.

The Brazilian ‘Problema’ is just that, standing at a monstrous 6 ft 8 inches tall. Renan poses a problem for every opponent he faces with dynamic, powerful and devastating striking set to cause issues for even someone with the resumé of Francis Ngannou.

But that’s not all sports fans can look forward to on a night full of MMA fighters known for their heavy hitting and record breaking knockout blows.

The co-main event at PFL Super Fight will see the most decorated Female Fighter of all time, Cris Cyborg match up against a fellow Brazilian Larissa Pacheco, as they both battle to add another belt to their name.

As the only MMA fighter in history to become a Quadruple Champion – in her own words ‘The Grand Slam of MMA’. Winning belts in Bellator, UFC, Invicta FC and Strikeforce – winning the Super Fights Championship Belt would be the final jewel to her collection.

Cyborg will have to put everything on the line and take on the ranked number 2 of the world Larissa Pacehco, who blazed through opponents including Kayla Harrison to be crowned the PFL Women’s Featherweight Champion

Nine years Cyborg’s junior, Pacheco won the PFL Women’s Featherweight Championship last year. One thing is for certain, neither of these two Main Card Fights are too be missed.

Before we get to the Main Card, which viewers will be able to watch here, Ireland’s rising star Paul Hughes will be taking on the American A.J McKee.

‘Big News’ Hughes made his Bellator debut in Dublin earlier this year, but he’ll face a stern test as he’s thrown in the cage to face ‘The Mercenary’, who has a formidable record of 22 wins from his career so far within PFL.

When you think the card couldn’t get any more forceful, we see the rematch between Champion Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards for the Middleweight Championship, in Riyad on October 19th.

When your brother is Leon Edwards, former UFC Welterweight Champion the bar is set high, let’s see if Johnny ‘Pressure’ Eblen can apply the pressure on October 19th.

With the PFL returning to Saudi Arabia, the Battle of the Giants reinforces Riyadh’s status as the new fight capital of the world.

So brace for impact and get ready for one of the biggest fighting events of the year.
